137: CES 2020 – Robots and other Weird Stuff

Part 2 of our coverage of CES 2020 includes a holographic virtual yoga trainer, a chef bot that can make 35 different types of salad, a tennis ball that follows you around and bosses your other home appliances, and a bionic cat that adjusts its personality based on how you talk to it.

You want more weird stuff? Well how about Segway’s new S-Pod? It’s a self-balancing chair on wheels, which makes us think our prediction of a Wall-E future is starting to come true!

As always we cover all angles using audio clips from different sources so you get everything you need to know, right here on the Naked Tech Podcast.

108: RIP Bezels, Goose Simulator, Grandkids on-demand

It has been dubbed our most random episode yet. We first head to Berlin for IFA 2018 and peek into the not-too-distant future where bezels have left the human race and it’s all screen, all of the time. Then it’s off to Seattle where a gaggle of geese have run amok and taken over an indie gaming convention at PAX West. Finally, your grandkids have abandoned you but never you mind, just get one on-demand from the Papa app. What a time to be alive!

As always, we cover all angles using clips from different sources so you get everything you need to know, right here on The Lazy Couch Podcast.

45: CES 2016

It’s the first episode for the year, and it’s all about CES 2016 (formerly known as the Consumer Electronic Show), that was held over 4 days in Las Vegas during the week. We take a close look at some of the more interesting and innovative products that were showcased and also some that were just downright ridiculous.

There’s everything from a rollable OLED display, to a giant person-sized quadcopter, to a hoverboard/standable that doubles up as your personal robot butler! In other news, we coin the term ‘standables’! Tune in now to hear what our favourite products were at CES 2016.
